I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
